Companies are increasingly reliant on both public and private security to operate in areas presenting heightened risk of conflict. This BHRLA members’ webinar examines the human rights risks associated with the use of public and private security, and the role of multi stakeholder initiatives such as the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Providers and the Voluntary Principles Initiative in supporting corporate due diligence. This webinar also examines the role of home governments in supporting corporate due diligence including through participation in these initiatives and other policy initiatives including the EU’s recently adopted Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the US National Action Plan.
